Standard was created by a team of individuals who worked together for more than a decade in key leadership roles at one of the industry’s preeminent global real estate private equity firms. Standard executives have a combined 80 years of experience managing investments in commercial real estate worth more than $8 billion in asset value.

Robert Jue

Chief Executive Officer

Robert Jue is Chief Executive Officer of Standard Real Estate Investments, where he focuses on day-to-day decision making, as well as strategy, execution, and business operations.

Prior to forming Standard, Robert was a Senior Managing Director with CBRE Investment Management, where he was the Portfolio Manager of a successful ten-year fund franchise, Head of Development Investments in the Americas, Co-Chair of the Americas ESG Committee, and a member of the Americas Leadership Board.

During his time at CBRE Investment Management, Robert also served on the board of directors for Wood Partners, a vertically integrated multifamily development and operating company.

He has 18 years of experience in the real estate industry and started his career as an appraiser with CBRE.

Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UCLA.

A native of Oakland, California, he currently lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife and three children.

 

Jerome Nichols

President

Jerome Nichols is President of Standard Real Estate Investments, where he is focused on new business development and investment sourcing, in addition to his involvement in all major decisions pertaining to the business. 

Prior to co-founding Standard Real Estate Investments, Jerome spent six years at CBRE Investment Management as a Senior Director and Deputy Portfolio Manager of the CBRE GI U.S. Development Partners Fund Series. In this role, he served as the lead development sourcing officer for CBRE GI Americas and sourced $6 billion in deal volume. He was actively involved in several initiatives at CBRE GI, including his role as the Chair of the Social Impact Counsel. 

In addition to his time at CBRE, Jerome spent six years with The Bozzuto Group, a vertically integrated multifamily development and operating company. He is also a former professional football player.

Jerome is an Alumnus and active supporter of the Robert Toigo Foundation.

He received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Wake Forest University.

Jerome is from Prince George’s County, Maryland and lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and two children.

 

Shubhra Jha

Principal

Shubhra Jha is head of investment strategy and research for Standard.

Prior to joining Standard, she spent more than 17 years at CBRE Investment Management as a Senior Director and Americas Investment Research Team Leader. In this role, she covered all property types in 60 major North American MSAs and supported underwriting efforts for all real estate transactions.

Prior to joining CBRE, Shubhra spent three years at RCLCO as a senior associate and previously worked as an architect

Shubhra is actively involved in National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) and Pension Real Estate Association (PREA).

She received an MPL/MRED from the University of Southern California, as well as a Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture (India).

 

Jernine Kim

Principal

Jernine Kim is head of corporate finance and asset management for Standard.

She has 16 years of experience in finance, accounting and real estate. Prior to joining Standard, Jernine was a Vice President at Arc Capital Partners where she spent seven years supporting the acquisitions, asset management and reporting of the firm.

She also was a senior fund accountant at Oaktree Capital Management responsible for the financial operations and investor reporting of funds and separate accounts with $6 billion of invested capital. Prior to Oaktree, she served as a senior accounting officer at Goldman Sachs in New York responsible for performance analysis and reporting of $5 billion of SSG investments, and was also a senior auditor at Deloitte, where she earned her CPA license. 

Jernine graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Business Administration with distinction and holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management. While at UCLA, she earned fellowships from Robert Toigo Foundation, The Consortium, Forte Foundation and the Riordan Programs.

She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.

Lindsay Louie

Principal

Lindsay Louie is a principal at Standard Real Estate Investments, overseeing new investments and capital raising.

Prior to joining Standard,, she served as a Director with CBRE Investment Management where she was responsible for originating, underwriting, financing and closing new investments with a focus on development, value-add and joint venture transactions. During her time at CBRE Investment Management, she handled or participated in new investment transactions totaling over $8.0 billion.

Lindsay served as a Commissioner on the Los Angeles County Commission for Women representing the county’s Second District. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Harvard College.

 

Terrance Williams

Principal

Terrance Williams is a principal at Standard Real Estate Investments, leading the firm’s direct real estate business in the Mid-Atlantic. He works closely with Standard’s President Jerome Nichols, who is also based in the firm’s D.C office.

Prior to joining Standard, Terrance was a Development Manager with Trammell Crow Company, CBRE Group’s wholly owned development company, where he was responsible for leading the development process of urban mixed-use developments across the Mid-Atlantic region, including sourcing, underwriting, financing, entitlements, leasing and disposition. During his time at Trammell Crow Company, he participated in the investment or development of 1,350 residential units, 1.1 million square feet of office and retail space, representing a total of 2.4 million square feet of development. Terrance previously was a licensed underwriting for Capital One’s healthcare finance group where he underwrote and closed loans totaling $260 million.

Terrance earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan.
